ABOUT US

Our Teams
The All Blacks and Black Ferns represent more than rugby. Built on legacy and grounded in whakapapa, they carry the power of the black jersey onto the world stage, uniting fans across Aotearoa and beyond. Through haka and triumph, they inspire those who strive for better, embodying the strength, spirit and identity of New Zealand Rugby.

All Blacks
With a win rate of over 76%, multiple Rugby World Cup titles and 120+ years on the field, the All Blacks are the most successful international men’s rugby team. Their success is defined by relentless excellence, discipline, resilience and innovation, positioning them at the forefront of the game and New Zealand’s national identity.

Black Ferns
First formed in 1981, the Black Ferns burst onto world stage at the inaugural Women’s Rugby World Cup in Wales in 1991. They hold highest winning percentage of any international rugby team, including six World Cup titles. Their fearless brand of rugby has earned fans globally, while their deep sense of connection define what it means to wear black jersey.

All Blacks Sevens & Black Ferns Sevens
The All Blacks Sevens and Black Ferns Sevens represent New Zealand in the fast-paced, global game of rugby sevens. As well as competing in the international HSBC SVNS Series, both teams represent New Zealand at the Olympic Games. At the Paris 2024 Olympics, the Black Ferns Sevens won gold, continuing their proud legacy of success on the world stage globally.

Māori All Blacks
Māori All Blacks represent a proud and unique legacy within New Zealand Rugby, built on whakapapa, mana and identity. Founded in 1910, they have long served as a key pathway for future All Blacks talent and remain a formidable presence in international rugby. All players must have Māori whakapapa (genealogy) to represent the side.

Our Purpose
Our purpose is to Inspire and Unify Through Rugby. We strive for rugby Teams in Black that are unrivalled; a high-performance system that produces the world’s best talent; teams and competitions that fans love; and a community game that is strong and cherished. The black jersey has a special power – it’s a taonga of an iconic and inspiring team.
